Code of Conduct

At Assist Ability Australia, we are committed to creating a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour we expect from all who interact with us—whether in person, over the phone, online, or through our services.

1. Respect for All People

We treat every person with dignity, kindness, and respect—regardless of their ability, background, gender, age, religion, culture, or identity. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

2. Inclusive and Accessible Communication

We use clear, inclusive, and person-centred language in all communication. We value and respect everyone’s right to be heard, understood, and included in decisions that affect them.

3. Privacy and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your personal information. All client details are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant laws. We will never share your information without your consent, unless required by law.

4. Safe and Supportive Environment

We aim to create environments—both online and in the community—that are physically, emotionally, and culturally safe. Everyone has a role to play in upholding this standard.

5. Integrity and Accountability

We act with honesty, transparency, and fairness at all times. If something goes wrong, we take responsibility and work to make it right. We welcome feedback and see it as an opportunity to learn and improve.

6. Zero Tolerance for Violence or Threatening Behaviour

We do not tolerate violence, aggression, or intimidation of any kind. Anyone engaging in unsafe behaviour may be restricted from accessing our services or website.

7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

We are always learning. We actively seek to grow, adapt, and improve the way we support people with disability—and we welcome ideas, conversations, and partnerships that help us do so.
