Camilo is a passionate and purpose-driven Specialist Support Coordinator who brings warmth, insight, and a deep commitment to person-centred care. Raised in a compassionate community in Colombia, Camilo’s drive to make a difference began early — and continues to shape every step of his professional journey.
He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Rosario University (Colombia), and has earned multiple certifications in mental health, NDIS planning, spinal cord injury management, and most recently, the Psychosocial Recovery Coach course, reflecting his growing expertise in holistic support for participants with complex needs. Camilo is also currently pursuing an MBA in Health and Wellness Leadership through RMIT University Online, sharpening his strategic and leadership skills for the future.
Over the past seven years, Camilo has worked his way from Disability Support Worker to Service Manager and now Specialist Support Coordinator. Along the way, he’s developed a reputation for his thoughtful care plans, data-informed service delivery, and deep understanding of both NDIS compliance and Aged Care Quality Standards.
In 2024, Camilo was recognised as Assist Ability Australia’s Upcoming Staff Member of the Year, a testament to his dedication, growth, and the meaningful impact he has on participants and peers alike. With every interaction, Camilo brings empathy, clarity, and a genuine desire to help people lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
